First off let’s all give thanks to the brave men and women who serve in the military. Not just because it is Veteran’s Day but for all they have done to help protect our country. THANK YOU!
After a humiliating loss to the Hornets on Monday, the Clippers will have to regroup and take on an up and coming team also challenging for a playoff spot. The Thunder have one of the youngest rosters in the NBA and are led by rising star Kevin Durant. Durant is coming off a season high of 37 pts in a loss to the Sac Kings (who have finally hit the .500 mark in over 3 years). Starting for the Thunder will be guards Russell Westbrook and Thabo Sefolosha; forwards Durant and Jeff Green; and center Nenard Kristic. They have no significant injured players.
The Clippers on the other hand don’t have rookie sensation Blake Griffin and got word that 2nd year guard Eric Gordon will be out another 6 games. Chris Kaman, Marcus Camby and Baron Davis will have to win their match-ups as Rasual Butler and Al Thorton will be working on guarding and trying to match Durant’s effort.
The Thunder were poor on the 2nd game of back-to-back’s and hopefully the Clippers can re-group to play with more focus and energy than they did against the Hornets. Spots 7-12 in the West is constantly shuffling so the Clippers better at least keep pace with all the teams there.
Again have a good VETERANS DAY!
