The Clippers may need to get sponsored by Head & Shoulders… a lot of head scratching going on after this game. How do you build a 22 pt lead and end the 1st quarter up by 17… only to let momentum go the other way and only be up 9 at the half. By the end of the 3rd the teams were tied. Here’s the real head scratcher… how do you lose the 4th quarter 15 to 30 at home? Well sadly it’s becoming a bad M.O. for this team to dwindle in the final quarter.
They started as a free flowing high-octane Clipper machine, building as much as a 22 pt lead. They made the Raptors look like they were standing in mud on both sides of the floor. Mid-way through the 2nd quarter the engine blew a gasket and thats when the tires slowly fell off. Good passes turned into sloppy turnovers giving the Raptors easy buckets. They were able to stop the Raptors from getting comfortable shots and that turned into the Raptors playing their game which is Chris Bosh controlling the paint from both sides.
Bosh led the Raptors with 21 pts/14 boards/6 assists while Andrea Bargnani and Jose Calderon chipped in 19 and 18 pts each. The Clippers were led by Chris Kaman with 25 pts and Baron Davis with 17.
Next up a revenge game with the Tunder…
