Game 11 Recap: Silence the Thunder

OKC THUNDER: 23 18 35 17 93
After three disappointing home losses maybe a little road trip is what the Clippers needed. Some soul searching might have played into their most consistent effort yet this season. Both teams battled even through the first half where they switched leads several times until the Thunder ended up by 2 at half time. Kevin Durant got really hot in the 3rd quarter and displayed an array of offensive skills and the Thunder outscored the Clippers by 9.
The fourth quarter was a positive one for the Clippers on both ends of the floor. They finally put together an effort to close the game out. Durant was held in check and wasn’t even involved in the offense the last 3 minutes of the game.
Baron Davis and Chris Kaman helped seal the win for the Clippers. Davis hit a huge 3 with 43 seconds to go and that turned out to be the game winner. Russel Westbrook was the only Thunder scoring near the end but it wasn’t enough and the Clippers were able to win their 4th game of the year.
Chris Kaman led the way with 25 pts and 7 boards while Baron Davis and Al Thorton chipped in 24 and 20. In fact no other Clipper played scored more than 9 pts. The Thunder were led by Kevin Durant with 40 points and 8 rebounds.
A well deserved victory and a good start to the three game road trip.
